Hey, Gem. Ever penned a letter to your younger self? I encourage you to try it out.

Here’s a short piece from mine...

Dear Younger Self x Shanice

Dear Younger Self,

Loving and giving yourself grace is what you need most right now. You care too much about other people’s opinions and perceptions of you, and you care way too much about them understanding you when you hardly understand yourself. I wish you’d realize how you light up rooms and inspire people without trying—simply by being your authentic self. The power bestowed inside of you is magnetic. It’s sad that you don’t realize the radiance you possess.

Forgive yourself for searching for love when it’s been rooted inside of you all along. Your beauty is ethereal, inside and out. You can’t keep filling everyone else’s cup instead of your own. You can not keep hiding from the world when everything you have to offer is burning to burst out of you and help you thrive.

There isn’t anything you’ve endured that can stop you from being great. The people who have hurt you to the point of no return did not deserve you, and the mistakes you’ve made along the way do not mean you’re a bad person. It doesn’t mean you’re going to fail. None of it defines you.

Focus on your journey and stop looking around. Grace and tunnel vision will take you places you’ve never imagined. Step into your power and flourish!

Gem, writing a letter to your younger self could help you heal the heavy, inner parts of yourself that you unintentionally carry around with you every day. You may not know where to begin with this. Trust me, I didn’t either.

Just start somewhere.

Remind yourself that you’ve been there for you all along, then promise to love yourself better than you ever have before. It’s what you deserve!

After all, you are an immense treasure.

Sending you good vibes and much, much love -S
